About

Hello, my name is Thomas, and I’m a 30-year-old living in Aachen, the westernmost city in Germany, right at the border triangle with Belgium and the Netherlands. I completed my master’s degree in electrical engineering in 2021 and currently work as an RF and embedded software engineer at a small company.

I’ve been an amateur radio enthusiast since 2013. I took my certification test on October 17, 2013, at the Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency) in Cologne and was thrilled to receive my callsign, DL2IC, on October 21, 2013.

This website is designed to share my journey and experiences in the world of amateur radio, a passion that connects me with people around the globe. Thank you for visiting, and I hope you find the shared insights and stories enriching.
